Personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential to protect us from possible occupational hazards. But do you know which PPE to choose for each situation and in each sector?

There are many types of PPE and they all fulfill a different function: protection for the head, face and eyes, ears, feet and legs, skin, hands and arms, respiratory or body protection. Within each category you will find EPIS depending on the risks to which you are exposed:

Category I

In this category, the user is protected against minimal risks, such as handling products or exposure to high temperatures. Among these protective equipment you can find safety gloves or protective glasses, among others.

Category II

It refers to medium or high risks, or all those that are not considered irreversible for health, such as face shields and protectors.

Category III

This type of PPE is intended for fatal or irreversible risks, such as those against chemical attacks or protection from heights.
